Board of Trustees in Search of New Fiscal Officer
May 22, 2026The Russell Township Board of Trustees is in search of a Fiscal Officer. The Fiscal Officer position is one of great importance to the township, so please consider this an opportunity - but also a chance to serve your community.
The Fiscal Officer’s duties include keeping an accurate record of all township accounts and transactions. It is the responsibility of the Township Fiscal Officer to comply strictly with the legal requirements of the office, to establish and practice rules for efficient management of the office, and to follow good accounting practices in maintaining records and accounts. The position is independent of the Township Trustees, yet the Township Fiscal Officer works closely with the Trustees. Duties are further described in the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code.
Qualifications required by the Ohio Revised Code: must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age or older, a resident of Russell Township, and registered to vote. Interested candidates with questions may email Trustee Chris Hare at [email protected].
