Kristina Port

Kristina Port earned both her bachelor’s degree (1981) and Master’s Degree in Public Administration (2001) from Cleveland State University. Putting her degrees to use, Kristina started a small business and joined the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), serving on Government Advocacy Committee for over a decade to educate the public and legislators of the importance of small business. Kristina wished to learn more about Geauga County where she has lived her life, and graduated Leadership Geauga County, class of 2003. After finishing this program, she was introduced to Ravenwood Health and serves on its board for the past 20 years, currently as Chairman, Board of Directors.

Kristina appreciated the networking opportunities and wished to utilize her public administration knowledge by seeking an elected government position. Kristina was elected as a Russell Township Trustee serving from 2008-2012; participated in either running or appointment to Ohio State Representative vacancies, and in 2020 again was elected and is an incumbent Russell Township Trustee.

Kristina’s profession is in healthcare with experience in sleep medicine, neurology, spine and vascular surgery neuro case monitoring, and hearing screenings in infants. The takeaway is learning to treat and respect everyone as a person first.

Kristina was born in Chesterland, graduated from West Geauga High School, as did her siblings and children. Living in Russell Township for 40 years, there is little that need to be changed in the community, as the residents have supported the police, fire, road, large lot zoning, and administrative services the township provides. What an idyllic community where one can escape stresses of work, live in a safe, supportive community, and know that a township trustee will answer your call, question or concern.
